- This recording opens with an introduction of the program by Boyd Lewis. The first segment, which begins at 1:39, is a feature about a rehearsal for "The Imagemakers" a production to be presented at the Alliance Studio Theater in Atlanta. The production tells the story of the Vision Quest, a tradition among Western Indian tribes. The program features audio excerpts from Woodrow and Pauline Haney, Western Cherokee Native Americans who were there to teach actors on specific parts of the production; costume designer Michael Hickey, and director Sandra Hughes. The second segment, which begins at 15:50, is a feature about an East Tennessee cultural celebration featuring cooking, artifacts, and authentic mountain music. The program features audio excerpts from author Alex Haley; teacher Elliott Wiggenton, and Loyal Jones of Berea College. The program ends with a sign off by Boyd Lewis.
