- Description:
- This recording opens with an introduction of the program by Boyd Lewis. The first segment, which begins at 0:44, is a feature about the controversy over Peachtree Terrace Apartments, the 64 year-old structure which developers sought to demolish to make way for a new development. The program includes audio from Atlanta Mayor Andrew Young Jr.; developer Joel Griffin; Eileen Segrest and Lynn Meyer of the Atlanta Preservation Center, and Tim Forshay of the Peachtree Terrace Tenants Association. The second segment, which begins at 14:47, is a feature about witches and the practice of witchcraft in Chamblee, Georgia. The program features audio excerpts of Lady Galadriel, a high priestess of the Grove of the Unicorn, and Lord Athanor. Both people preferred not to use their real names because they feared persecution. Another member of the Grove of the Unicorn interviewed for the story goes by the name of Alexander. The program focuses on development and historic preservation in Atlanta. The program ends with a sign off by Boyd Lewis.
