- This recording opens with an introduction of the program by Boyd Lewis. The program is a retrospective on past "Southwind" programs and contain abbreviated segments. Those abbreviated segments include a 1980 feature on Southern womanhood; a 1981 feature about a lynching in Mobile, Alabama; a 1982 feature about the political barbecue; a 1983 feature about the changing nature of Ponce De Leon Avenue in Atlanta; a 1984 feature about a reunion of Cherokee tribes, and a 1985 feature about a gathering of Vietnam veterans and their friends and family in Athens, Georgia, called LZ Friendly. The program ends with a sign off by Boyd Lewis.
