- This recording opens with an introduction of the program by Boyd Lewis. The first segment, which begins at 1:17, is a feature about Marietta Daily Journal columnist Nancy Ryle, who writes about the community of Marietta in a new book titled "Catastrophes and Celebrations." The second segment, which begins at 8:36, is a feature about radio producer Himan Brown, who in the 1920s and 1930s produced such programs such as "The Thin Man" and "The Arthur Godfrey Show." Brown spoke at the University of Georgia in 1986 and this segment includes an interview with him. He talks about his career and modern media. Vintage radio clips are interspersed throughout the interview. The program ends with a sign off by Boyd Lewis.
