- This recording opens with an introduction of the program by Boyd Lewis. The first segment, which begins at 1:33, is a feature about a travelling exhibition on Chinese technology and science that came to Atlanta's High Museum in 1984. The program features audio excerpts from Cecil Phillips of Georgia Tech, director of the exhibition, as well as Chinese interpreter Wang Schang Tchwan. The second segment, which begins at 9:16, is a feature about the Southern Regional Council, which celebrated its 40th anniversary in 1984. The program features audio excerpts from Executive Director Steve Suitts. The third segment, which begins at 15:21, is a feature about Martin Luther King Sr., who died in November 1984. The program contains biographical information and features audio excerpts from King. The fourth segment, which begins at 22:12, is a feature about attorney Al Horn, who died in 1984. Horn represented civil rights activists and other social justice organizers.
