- This recording opens with an introduction of the program by Boyd Lewis. The first segment, which begins at 1:23, is a feature about a new magazine in 1986, Southern Magazine. The magazine is published in Little Rock, Arkansas, but was printed in Atlanta. The program features audio excerpts from publisher Allen Leverett; printer John Beagle; editor Linton Weeks, and writer Mitchell Shields. The second feature, which begins at 16:07, is a feature about the opening of the Jimmy Carter Presidential Center in Atlanta. The program features audio excerpts of Carter giving a tour of the facility to a group as he describes the Center and its goals.
