- This recording opens with an introduction of the program by Boyd Lewis. The entire program is a feature about the Leo Frank case, in which a Jewish man (Frank) was accused of the murder of Mary Phagan, a young girl who worked at the National Pencil Factory with Frank. He was lynched by vigilantes in Marietta. The program was recorded in the wake of a decision by the Georgia Board of Pardons and Paroles which granted a posthumous pardon to Frank. The program includes background information on the case and. The program features audio excerpts from Atlanta attorney Dale Schwartz; Alonzo Mann, who offered testimony in 1982 which contradicted his original testimony about the guilt of Leo Frank; Atlanta attorney Tom Watson Brown offers reasoning to attempt to debunk Mann's case; Ebon Dooley, Director of the Atlanta Arts Exchange, who reads a portion of Jim Conley's testimony; Clarence Feebleman, a teenager at the time of trial; radio producer Harlon Joye, who produced a program about the trial in the early 1980s, and Roy Harwell, who remembers the role of Tom Watson during the trial. The program ends with a sign off by Boyd Lewis.
