- This recording opens with singer Bessie Jones' rendition of "Preachin the Blues" and an introduction of the program by Boyd Lewis and Faye McDonald Smith. The entire program is a feature titled "They're Killing Our Children. An Atlanta Tragedy." The feature is about the Atlanta child murders, which took place between 1979 and 1981. The program features audio interview clips of Atlanta Public Safety Commissioner Lee Brown; Tony Mathis, a 13-year old Jonesboro resident, and his aunt, Dorothy; Carolyn Turner, PTA president of Scott Elementary School and Father Patrick Bishop of St. Anthony's Church, and Mrs. Helen Pugh. Other interviewees include mothers of victims, including Celina Cobb, Fannie Mae Smith and Venus Taylor. The recording also includes various unidentified voices of children and adults in Jonesboro. The feature includes a commentary at 17:42 by Atlanta author Pearl Lomax. At 21:52, Carrine Brown and Grace Davis are interviewed about how African American children are defended. The program ends with a sign off by Boyd Lewis.
