- This recording opens with an introduction of the program by Boyd Lewis. The entire program is an update on the Savannah River Plant. In July, a cloud of radioactive tritium vapor escaped into the atmosphere, alerting state authorities. The program features audio from a Senate hearing aired previously on "Southwind," and includes audio excerpts from South Carolina Senator Strom Thurmond; Robert L. Morgan of the Savannah River Plant; Troy Wade of the United States Department of Energy; Georgia Senator Mack Mattingly; South Carolina Attorney General Travis Medlock; Dr. Thomas Cochrane of the Natural Resources Defense Council. The program features new audio excerpts from Jim Setzer of the Georgia Environmental Protection Agency and Frank McDonald of Dairy Men of Georgia. The program ends with a sign off by Boyd Lewis.
