Rick, or Ricky, Nelson performed with his Stone Canyon Band at the Fox Theatre in downtown Atlanta, Georgia on October 17, 1979. The concert was a benefit for the American Cancer Society. His father, Ozzie Nelson, died of cancer in 1975. Nelson and his band were instrumental in the Los Angeles country-rock sound popular in the 1970s. - Local Identifier:
