Dunwoody is a northern suburb of Atlanta, Georgia located in the northern tip of Dekalb County. The city's name derives from a misspelling of Major Charles Dunwody who served the Confederate Army in the Civil War. Today, Dunwoody is home to Perimeter Mall, the second largest shopping mall in the state. The city was incorporated on December 1, 2008 after a community-led movement. - Local Identifier:
