Max Cleland is a former United States Senator (Democrat) and Vietnam War veteran from Atlanta, Georgia. Cleland served in the Georgia State Senate from 1971-1975, and in the United States Senata from 1997-2003. He served as Georgia Secretary of State from 1982-1996.
