Dan Sweat (1933-1997) was a long-time civic leader in the Atlanta, Georgia. He served as the Associate Administrator of Economic Opportunity Atlanta from 1965 to 1966. From 1966 to 1969, he worked as an administrative aide to Atlanta Mayor Ivan Allen, Jr. He then served as Chief Administrative Officer of the City of Atlanta from 1969 to 1971. He then became the Executive Director of the Atlanta Regional Commission. From 1973 to 1988, Sweat was the President of Central Atlanta Progress. - Local Identifier:
