Reverend Ted Clark was a civil rights and neighborhood activist. He worked on behalf of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference's (SCLC) Operation Breadbasket as well as the Metropolitan Atlanta Summit Leadership Conference. He later represented Atlanta's Bedford-Pine neighborhood as the Project Area Committee (PAC) president during the community's redevelopment. The neighborhood, roughly bounded by North Avenue, Boulevard, Highland Avenue and Piedmont Avenue, was the subject of urban renewal in the 1960s and 1970s. - Local Identifier:
