William L. "Bill" Calloway (1908-1999) was an investment and real estate broker in Atlanta, Georgia. In 1942, he partnered with T.M. Alexander to establish the Alexander-Calloway Realty Company. The men later founded the Consolidated Mortgage and Investment Company, which made small loans to African Americans who were unable to secure bank loans from other sources. After thirty years, the men dissolved their partnership, and Calloway established the Calloway Realty Company located on Auburn Avenue. - Local Identifier:
