Portrait of teacher Henrietta Stanley Dull (Mrs. Samuel Rice), in Atlanta, Georgia.
Henrietta Stanley Dull was a teacher, writer and artist who is often credited with introducing home economics courses into the Atlanta Public Schools. She taught at the Boulevard Grammar School from 1909 to 1913. In 1913, she taught a cooking course at Girls' High School and used her influence to convince the Atlanta Board of Education to authorize a home economics course at the school. - Local Identifier:
