Livingston Mims (1833-1906) was an army officer, businessman and Democratic politician. He served as a major during the Civil War and was a member of General Joseph E. Johnston's staff. After the war, Mims became the southern manager of the New York Life Insurance Company and later served as the president of the Capital City Club for twenty years. From 1901 to 1903, he served as mayor of the City of Atlanta. - Local Identifier:
