An Atlantan, Margaret Alexander Sage (1848-1920) was a leader in women's and civic organizations. She served as the president of the Georgia Society of Colonial Dames and the regent of the Atlanta Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). From 1903 to 1904, she served as the state regent of Georgia for the DAR and later as the vice president general of the National Society of the organization. She was also active in the Atlanta Art Association and the American Red Cross. - Local Identifier:
