Adair, Forrest, Sr. (1864-1936) son of real estate developer, Colonel George Washington Adair, was born in Atlanta, Georgia. He served as Fulton County Commissioner from 1895-1903; a member of the Yaarab Temple as Potentate; and he helped to found the Scottish Rite Children’s Hospital and the Shriner’s Hospitals for Children. Forrest and his brother, George Washington Adair Jr., were involved in the development of several Atlanta neighborhoods, including Adair Park, West End Park (now Westview) and Druid Hills. - Metadata URL:
