Wormsloe was developed by Georgia colonist Noble Jones in the early 18th century and subsequently served as military stronghold, plantation, residence and farm. In 1979, the state of Georgia acquired the land and opened the plantation as the Wormsloe Historic Site, which features a museum and walking tours. - Local Identifier:
