Alfred Walton Anderson (1914-1985), shortstop for the 1940 Atlanta Baseball team, was also a Major League Baseball player with the Pittsburgh Pirates (1941-1942) and for two games in the 1946 baseball season. Anderson served in the military during World War II from 1944-1945. Robert Lawshe was a professional baseball player for the 1888 Atlanta team and later a train caller at the Atlanta Terminal Station. - Local Identifier:
