The Second Baptist Church, located at Washington and Mitchell Streets was dedicated in 1893, as the Second Baptist Church congregation’s, second church. At some point, in the first half of the 1900’s, that congregation abandoned the building and the building later became occupied by the Central Baptist Church Congregation at which point the name was changed. - Local Identifier:
