The First National Bank of Atlanta was formed out of the merger of Atlanta and Lowry National Bank with Fourth National Bank in 1929. At the time of the merger, First National Bank of Atlanta was the largest bank south of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. First National became a part of Wachovia Bank in 1985. - Local Identifier:
