The Right Reverend John Watrus Beckwith (1831-1890) served as a chaplain as a Captain for the Confederate States Army under General William J. Hardee. After the war, he became a priest at Trinity Church (Episcopal) in New Orleans, Louisiana. He became the second Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Georgia in 1868. - Metadata URL:
