The Equitable Building was built for Joel Hurt and completed in 1892. The eight story building stood at 30 Edgewood Ave SE until its demolition in 1971. It was the tallest privately owned building in Atlanta until 1897. The Columns from the front of the building are currently housed on the Atlanta History Center campus. - Local Identifier:
