Mary Ella Mason Smith, born Feb 4, 1858 to Willard P Mason and Mary Ann Masson on a farm north of Decatur on Shallowford Rd. Married William Berry Smith in 1879 and moved to home on North Decatur Rd. This home was later moved to the Atlanta History Center Campus. Mary died Oct 18, 1935 at the age of 77. Mary and William were the parents of five children, including Miss Tullie Smith. - Local Identifier:
