- Residence of Mr. and Mrs. A.H. Yancey, Atlanta, and childhood home of Dr. B. A. Yancey (left insert) whose tragic death occurred in the regular practice of his profession in the city hospital of St. Louis, Mo., one year ago when it will be remember [sic] that he was killed while operating an X-ray machine. Right, insert his bird water fount which, like its designer, silently yet positively offers relief.

Bernice A. Yancey (1905-1934) was born in Atlanta, Georgia, to Arthur H. and Daisy L. Yancey. He studied at the University of Michigan Medical School, becoming a doctor in 1930. He was killed operating an x-ray machine at the city hospital of St. Louis, Missouri. - Local Identifier:
