Description:: On June 18, 1913, in the Woodrow Wilson law office on the second floorof the Ivan Allen-Marshall Building, corner of Marietta and Forsyth Streets, the Rotary Club of Atlanta was conceived by Henry Grady, Evelyn Harris, Howard Geldert and Ivan Allen.

The Ivan Allen-Marshall Building was originally named the Grant Building II. It was designed by William H. Parkins and built in 1876 at the corner of Marietta Street and Forsyth Street. The building housed Woodrow Wilson’s law office, was the headquarters of the Young Men’s Library Association, and home of the Ivan Allen Company.
