The Majestic Hotel was built in 1898 and advertised as the only steel fireproof hotel in Atlanta, Georgia. It was located on Peachtree Street, across from the governor’s mansion. The hotel was designed by Willis F. Denny and eventually turned into a office and commercial building when E. W. And Winter Alfriend acquired the lease in 1920. - Local Identifier:
