The Hebrew Orphan's Home was originally called the Hebrew Orphan's Asylum, but the name was changed in 1901. The residence facility, known as The Jewish Children Services, was open from 1876 to 1930 to place foster children in. In 1988, the name of the organization was changed again to the Jewish Educational Loan Fund. - Local Identifier:
