Jack J. Spalding (1856-1938) was an Atlanta attorney and a civic and church leader. He served as general council for the Trust Company of Georgia and the Atlanta Ice and Coal Company. He was also the president of the Atlanta Bar Association from 1928 to 1929. In addition, Spalding served as the president of the St. Vincent de Paul Conferences and Particular Councils at Atlanta and was a leading member of the National Council of Catholic Charities. From 1936 until his death in 1938, Spalding served as president of the Atlanta Historical Society. - Local Identifier:
