A Time For

A

New Beginning

Carlton Adams, our new Dean of the Col-
lege, adds new energy to Piedmont.

Piedmont College has
experienced many
new changes over the
past year. The enroll-
ment is up by 16% over
last year, and this
year's Freshman class is
the largest in past
years. New activities
and clubs have also
been added to pro-
mote new student ac-
tivity. Many of the fac-
ulty and staff including
the Dean of the Col-
lege are new and
have brought in ideas
and changes while still
pursuing the educa-
tional mandate Pied-
mont College was
founded on almost 100
years ago.

leaders a helping hand hanging up

Charting Your
Own Course

September is the time for making plans; plans for the school year, plans
for graduation, and planning when to take the courses needed for

graduation. Feelings of frustration, aggravation, and panic mix together

to give an overall atmosphere of excitement. There is also a great

feeling of accomplishment after registration, knowing that we have

been charting our own course.

Eager students crowd into the Student
Center only to be forced to wait in lines
for classes.

A student discusses his schedule with Dr.
Greene, head of the English Department.

Freshman Mary White puzzles over one of
the many forms necessary for registration.

Piedmont has experienced new and better changes, but there is

still alot to be done. There are plans still in the works such as

remodeling the student center, and building a new library, and

moving the Lions Den and Art Department. After all, this is only the

beginning.
