AN EDITORIAL NOTE

Unforeseen difficulties have prevented the timely issue of this edition of the Yonahian. I would like,
however, to thank those who have contributed of their time and effort to it as editors and as members of the
Yonahian staff. They include Melanie Millican, Jeff Bryson, and Malcolm Golden who served successively
as editors. Serious personal difficulties, including illiness, prevented them from completing their task as
editor, a position which I assumed in September 1984. Members of the staff included Kathy Andrews,
Business Manager; Stacey Brewer, Sondra Fabris, Paul King, photography, and myself as Lay-out Editor.

I would like also to give due credit to Mr. John Parker and to Josten publisher for their patience and
assistance in putting the book together; to Dr. D. Garen Simmons for his understanding; to Dr. Mary C.
Lane for her encouragement and assistance; and to Mr. Charles T. Davis, who since September 1984, has
acted as Advisor, succeeding our former advisor, Miss Dianne Mize.

We of the staff hope that this issue of the Yonahian will bring back fond memories of the 1983-84 year at
Piedmont College, and we ask our reader's indulgence. Within the limitations of the material available, we
have done our very best to produce a yearbook you will cherish in years to come.

Sincerely,

Glen Toler, Editor
