- Photograph of WAVES in service dress, taken by a U.S. Navy photographer circa 1944. In the center and in the right of the image, WAVES officers can be seen surrounded by WAVES members. The officer on the right is a Second-Class Petty Officer. The insignia of two keys underneath the eagle on her sleeve indicates that she had acquired a specialty in store keeping. The officer in the center of the photograph occupied a relatively high rank, evident by the four stripes on her sleeves.
