Letter from R. B. Anderson to Dr. Adger mentioning that he had communicated to Dr. Dunlap and Angus Johnson about suppling recollections about Thornwell but doubted either would, reiterates a story from Dunlap concerning an occasion of Thornwell’s preaching at Old Waxhaw, Yorkville (S.C.), June 20, 1870. Letter from John B. Adger to Rev. Dr. Palmer concerning old notes belonging to Thornwell he has found which mention Palmer favorably and strong terms concerning the Charleston Union Presbytery, Adger also requests Palmer to return the notes when finished, Columbia (S.C.), November 29, 1873.
