- Letters from Alexander Henry to James Woodrow concerning previous letters from James and his brother Thomas, requests a bill of lading to send goods for shipment, comments about the devastation of the Civil War, and family matters including the health of Jame's daughter [presumably Mary Charlotte Woodrow] and Alexander's son John who is on a ship named the General Neal headed to Madras, Glasgow (Scotland), January 15, 1864; concerning letters from James’ brother Thomas with bank drafts to cover the cost of shipping items requested, comments on the current Civil War, and family matters concerning his children, Glasgow (Scotland), April 6, 1864. Also contains, “Invoice of Case sent to Prof[esso]r Woodrow, Columbia, S.C. via Nassau, per ‘zigzag’ from Liverpool to Nassau, April, 1864.”
