- Description:
- Manuscript sermon of John N. Waddel, date and place of origin unknown. In this sermon Waddel discourses on the verse "whatsoever a man soweth that shall he also reap." He starts by noting a seeming contradiction in that God tells us we will be rewarded according to our deeds but that we can never merit anything by our best performances. He goes on to posit that, in saying this, God is teaching us humility, that he is a kind and merciful father and sovereign, and that he also leaves us without excuse. Sermon on Galatians 6:7.
