- Description:
- Manuscript sermon written by John N. Waddel, delivered at First Presbyterian Church (Clarksville, Tenn.), April 17, 1881. Waddel explains how God created the church on Earth to conquer sinners and create a safe haven for His children. He goes on to describe the various dimensions of the banners of the people of God, the church on Earth. He explains how banners are symbols of the gospel of truth, embodied in actions, chosen by those who proclaim war against sin, set up to attract like minds, and used as emblems of peace and victory. Sermon on Psalm 20:3.
