- Description:
- Manuscript sermon written by John N. Waddel, date and place of origin unknown. In this sermon Waddel describes how, through Jesus Christ's unique sacrifice, man is able to once again unite God's mercy and truth, righteousness and peace. He posits that man is at variance with God’s law because of past sins and that a sacrifice is required to atone. However, because God’s law is infinite, even a man’s life, being finite, will not do. Therefore Jesus Christ, being both man and divine, is the only one who could make that sacrifice for mankind. Sermon on Psalms 85:10.
