Magrath], the possibility of upcoming ministry [to enslaved persons], and writing on Apostolic Christianity, Charleston (S.C.), October 28, 1847; requesting Thornwell’s opinion of his moving to Glebe Street Presbyterian Church (Charleston, S.C.) and concerning the death of Dubose, Charleston (S.C.), April 27, 1852; discussing activities at the [64th (Old School)] General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church U.S.A. concerning the nomination of Breckinridge and others, and an overture from the Charleston Union Presbytery concerning its status, Charleston (S.C.), May 24, 1852; concerning the General Assembly’s action towards the Charleston Union Presbytery, Charleston (S.C.), June 14, 1852; regarding his concern over Howe and his treatment of Palmer, Allegheny’s [Western] interest in Thomas Smyth’s library, Baird’s interest to sell out the Southern Presbyterian and hopes Gildersleeve will be editor, and B.M.
