- Description:
- Sermon written by Reverend Henry Newton based on the verse from 2nd Corinthians 5:21. In this sermon Newton details how Christ's sacrifice on the cross takes the place of man's sins in God's law. Newton first defines God's law, that no sin can go unpunished, and then shows that, by being an infinite being, Christ sacrafice can cover all of man's sins. He then compares this sacrafice to the ancient practice of the Old Testament and, finally, gives numerous passages from the Bible which support this thesis.
