- Description:
- Sermon written by Reverend Henry Newton on how the Holy Spirit works through man to accomplish its goals. Newton starts by describing a story from the book of Zechariah in which Jewish refugees return home to rebuild the temple at Jerusalem only to fail until the prophet Zechariah is sent. From this story he details two main points, that God uses a variety of means for his purposes and that these owe their efficacy to special divine influence. He goes on to describe in detail how the Holy Spirit's hand can be found in all acts of salvation.
