- The back of the photograph has a typewritten description (1953): Train Dispatcher S. C. Childs at CTC control machine located at Manchester, Ga. This machine now controls the movement of traffic between Manchester and Westwood and 5-ft. wing is now being installed and when completed it will control movement of trains between Waycross and Manchester, 201.9 miles, handling 45 power operated switches and 54 signals.
