- Document describes the enhancement of of recreation facilities for young people in Manchester. A Teen Age Club was established by the Manchester Woman's Club; it was nicknamed the Teen Tavern. The building and furnishings are described in detail, much of it was donated or provided by local businesses. The development of the city park is mentioned. Plans for municipal swimming pool are in development. The baseball field was refurbished with new dugouts, bleachers and a resurfaced field. The Callaway Mills Company Recreation Program is noted for all of the activities provided for employees and their families. Under the heading "Negro Recreation" it is noted that there is a Teen Age Club, Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts program in the Negro School.
