Teacher Appreciation Night
In Loving Memory of
Senor Harry Harden
October 25, 1952-January 23, 2000
Since Southeast High School first opened its doors in 1988, Mr. Harden was a ded-
icated educator and faculty member. He served as chairman of the Foreign Lan-
guage Department and taught Spanish on three levels. He is greatly missed by the
students and fellow faculty members.

Putting The Fun
In Fundamentals.
Teachers Find Ways To Keep Students Awake.
Every teacher has
their own unique style
and method of teach-
ing, whether its sleep
inducing lectures or
thought-provoking
class discussions. One
thing they all share in
common, however, is
the desire to make
learning an interesting
and rewarding experi-
ence.
When asked what
makes a good teacher,
students have very
strong opinions. Nikki
Woodard describes the
ideal teacher as one
who answers ques-
tions instead of avoid-
ing them and makes

parative Religions class.
sure students understand
before progressing. Jer-
emy Brown echoes these
statements, preferring a
teacher who seems to
care and speaks to the per-
son and not the class.
Throughout the years,
students are bombarded
with an innumerable
amount of projects and
special assignments. Sa-
mantha Melton recalls
playing with fire in Mrs.
Stephens class as her fa-
vorite. Asked what the
most unusual thing Scott
Adams was taught, he re-

first. She did a great job as the
Warriors third baseman and was
glad to have been a big part of
the Region winning team.
SAD GOODBYE! These seniors
will definitely be missed. Their
hard work and dedication over
the past four years will always be
remembered. Most of these se-
niors have been playing together
since 7th grade and the friend-
ships they have made will not be
forgotten. We wish them the best
success in all they do.
LIKE A CAT! As senior varsity
catcher, Suzanne Maddox has
been quick as a cat for the past
three years of fastpitch. She has
been a big part of the team and
definitely has kept everyone
laughing. Her great catching abil-
ity and her sense of humor will
be greatly missed.
BAD TO THE BONE
Triqwesa Pierce, once again shows off
her muscles, and comes thorugh with
a base hit. She did a great job as a
W pe outfielder every en DOWN AND READY
could always count on her for a hit :
Her little glove and bubbly personality Amanda Little is down and ready
sail tos sehaaaet for whatever comes her way. She
was ready on first and was al-
a= ways ready to fill in wherever she
is needed. She was named player
of the week, after the team won
region, for coming through with
numerous hits when it really
counted.
CAUGHT IN THE ACT
Sophomore Beth Scarbary, was
caught in the act of a powerful
pitch. She definitely helped lead
the Warriors to many victories
with her fast pitching and quick
bat. Her hard work also gained
her a spot on the All-City team.

Summer Camp,
Finally!!!
Camp was held at Geor-
gia Southern University.
They had a great in-
structor from the NCA
squad at GSU. They
worked hard on stunt-
ing, cheers and dances.
They brought back
great new cheers, lots of
Spirit, new friendships
and a Most Improved
Trophy.
Stunts
This year the cheerleaders learned
how to do stunts. Every chance
they got they tried to put one into
one or two of their cheers. There
were a couple of oor need
stunters on the squad and now
there will be a few more. They
learned to work together, more
than ever, to pull off the stunts
and make it look easy and fun!!
Coaches
The coaches this year have been
the best and deserve recognition
Miss Harriet Johnson is a math
teacher here at Southeast, she is
very special to all the cheerleaders
Mrs. Linda Melton is the assistant
coach, she was there for all the
girls and Miss Johnson when they
needed her. They were there to
support the players as well as the
cheerleaders and did a very good
job
Spirit!!!
The entire squad is either watch-
ing the players to see if they need
do a cheer for defense or offense,
or striking a pose for the camera
man. The spirit is shown in pos-
ing for the picture and calling
cheers, which is shown through
everything they do!
