- Placed by Methodists of Georgia and citizens of Savannah in 1969. Wesley was a church of England missionary to the colony of Georgia 1736-37. He lived in a small house facing this park. Marshall Daugherty, Macon, Ga. Was the sculptor, portraying Wesley as a young man, as he was in Georgia.
