- Description:
- Factors' Walk is a network of iron and concrete bridgeways linking top of a high bluff with entrances to buildings. Beneath, leading to Savannah River, are streets and runways paved with cobblestones brought to this country a century ago as ballast in holds of sailing vessels which had been dumped ashore by arriving ships. These walls were built by slave labor using cobblestones and stone block.
