- The City of Atlanta owns approximately 1,200 acres, well distributed in 41 park plots, land and property values placed at a total of $2,190,917.00 in 1915. Five of the largest parks have beautiful lakes, swimming pools, and public bath houses. There are 42 tennis courts in the parks and numerous baseball diamonds, and a municipal golf course.
