- Description:
- Atlanta, City of a Million has one of the handsomest skylines in America, with scores of modern skyscraper office and apartment buildings, downtown and lining famous Peachtree Street; and there are many more under construction. The Cyclorama Building, in Grant Park, houses the million-dollar painting of the Battle of Atlanta, which resulted in the fall of the city and the beginning of the end of the Confederacy. Stone Mountain, world's largest granite monolith, now a State Park, is being developed rapidly into an outstanding scenic resort and playground.
