Amanda Cobb was charged with murdering her husband, Franklin County School Commissioner William Herschel Cobb. She was released on a $10,000 recognizance bond. Amanda and W.H. Cobb were the parents of Ty Cobb, who was playing baseball with the Augusta Tourists of the South Atlantic League.
